Taverny, 95, January 26, 2006 - Following the akewa * generic card and label software  - “All In One", the company akewa * is pleased to present its latest  release of vertical software applications for the traceability industry. Below is an explanation of the capabilities of the new traceability software from akewa *.

The software traceability applications can be personalised for each industry listed by Gencod (GS1) thanks to its Wizard technology. More than 18 different industries (industrial Bakery, Fruit and vegetables, victuallers, Meat, Poultry, Dairy etc.) are catered for and the constraints and parameters for each industry are integrated in to the new traceability software.

As always the software from akewa * are compatible with the majority of common databases used in the market (Excel, DBASE, Paradox, Access, Foxpro, Oracle, Informix, SyBase, SQL/Server....) and, in addition, management applications are integrated (WISE, API, VIFF...) eliminating the need for re-inputing existing data and allowing realtime update.

The vertical software applications have been designed for ease of use and can be tailored to meet particular requirements using akewa*’s unique Application Customisation Kit (ACK).

The ACK enables the user/integrator to add/remove fields, change layout, select data base, etc. Available in 12 different languages, akewa* software packages can be used in all the European Community countries.
